What we do

We connect experienced educators with students seeking academically rigorous support to help achieve their study goals.

As Academic Consultants, we provide academic supervision—flexible, remote, and supportive. Our work directly improves student performance, confidence, and wellbeing.

Who we’re looking for

If you’ve taught and marked in an Australian university in any discipline, and enjoy working closely with students, we’d love to support your income.

We’re building a network of academics who want to:

  • Share their academic expertise on their own terms

  • Support students without unpaid admin or exploitative contracts

  • Be part of teaching, mentoring, and academic culture in a new format

What you’ll do

As an Academic Consultant, you’ll:

  • Promote core academic competencies and efficient study methods

  • Offer formative feedback and scaffolded assessment guidance

  • Supervise student work and model scholarly thinking

  • Build connection and reduce assessment anxiety

  • Use our resources and your own disciplinary expertise

At Your Academic

  • We value compliance.

    Our learning support service is fully compliant with the academic integrity and conflict of interest policies of Australian universities.

    We help students understand how to do work well, we don’t do it for them.

    We don’t match consultants with students in their own institutions, to ensure impartiality.

    We are committed to supporting your rights as an independent contractor. If you decide to consult through us, you can expect full and fair compliance with Australian employment law.

  • You set and update your availability, and work as much or as little as you like.

    You work flexibly and remotely, around your research, teaching and life commitments.

  • No prep, no admin, no inbox overload.

    You log on, run your consult, log off, and live your life.

    We handle everything else.

  • We trust our Academic Consultants to work with autonomy and integrity. You use your academic judgment to guide each student.
